Kenya // Lifestraw x Follow the Liters

My first time to visit Africa was on assignment for LifeStraw, to photograph their Follow The Liters activation, where they used a percentage of profits from consumer retail sales to equip schools in rural Kenya with Community filters; train staff how to service them; and educate students and families on the importance of “maji safi.” Clean water.

I had just finished climbing Lobuche East (6,145 m) in Nepal; flew to Kenya; and afterward, went back to Nepal. Almost missed my return flight when I didn’t have proof of my Yellow Fever vaccination. Wild ride.
