Quebec Tourism x Outside
Quebec Tourism invited me and a fellow creator to discover its “Warmth of Winter” over the course of a ten-day road trip. Throughout the journey, Christin Douglas and I experienced and documented 23 different activities and locales in four different provinces--ranging from ice climbing to ice fishing; via ferrata to caving; ski touring to cross country skiing.
Not only was I one of the project’s two athletes and talents, but I doubled-down as the director and videographer as well. In order to capture the spirit of each endeavor--while actively participating--I shot with a compact mirrorless system in a guerilla style. Each night after a jam-packed day, I backed-up footage; submitted dailies; and prepared for the next day’s shoot.
Once the shoot was finished, I edited two shorts and four vignettes which were published in partnership with Outside. Finally, I ghost-wrote five articles which Outside published to support the campaign.
